This is the perfect one-hour tour if you want a summary of Hay. Starting at the Swan Hotel, this route stops off at the site of the original Motte and Bailey Castle that existed before the Hay Castle we know today. It incorporates Carles Gate, one of the three original gateways into the former Medieval walled town of La Haie and makes a stop in the grounds of Hay Castle on route back to the Swan.
